Description

Blind Justice

This piece could have several explanations from diffrent perspectives. But first and original carries the question "Why" with the question mark (?)
Suddenly Mobile phones are now more important to people than books
Suddenly mobile phones are now more important than true religion
Suddenly mobile phones have higher value than academics
I think this is a blind justice

Technology has proven its worth in many fields, and cell phones have made it easier to reach others. However, our attention spans have shrunk. There is nothing more annoying than trying to get a high school girl to pay attention to her order during a lunch rush at Subway. Her attention is so engrossed in her phone and texting that she orders the wrong ingredients, has to order a new sandwich and doesn't give a damn for the others behind her- doctors, lawyers, sales men, mechanics, as well as other people who's time is more important than hers. By the time she finally gets to the register, she has forgotten which sub was hers and how many she was buying and the orders behind her get screwed up and the store losses money as well as potential customers because some high school blond twit was too concerned with the petty conversations between her friends and herself to care about the world around her.

Think this is an over exaggeration? This happens to me on a daily basis. While many fast food shops have taken up a cell phone ban (we won't help you if you are on your cell phone) our branch of Subway refuses. Sure, people use them to order for their family and friends, but a pen and paper work just as well. Besides, most people, as soon as they call, will get off topic and slow the lines down, (trust me, its them, not us- we can single handedly push a single 6 inch sub in the 30 seconds or less (some have even done it in 15 seconds))

The point of my rant being this- cell phones have a higher value than human life to some. People will break laws to send a text message or answer a phone (In many states, it is illegal to use a cell phone while driving), so one can even say that cell phones have a higher value than obeying the common law. Hell there are so many things you could have added here- common courtesy, manners, human nature, conversations, basic human skills, grammar, ect;.

i own a cell phone, but I use it primarily for work and to keep in contact with my family. And while this upcoming generation surely is tech savey, unless things change, they will lack the people skills to work a normal job, and lack the discipline to work a career job like a doctor, a mechanic, or any jobs that require a person to focus on a task for large amounts of time.

This is a great picture and you executed your message very well.
